Course Description:
Covers practice and provides methods for managing
cases and making caseload management decisions.
Principles and practice in areas covered include
intake interview; medical, psychological,
and vocational evaluation, career and lifestyle
alternatives, plan development, transitions,
placement, and community integration. The course
will also provide instruction in writing
professional case reports, proposals, and progress
notes. Time and work flow management strategies
will be examined.

Instructor Biography:
After serving in the US Army, I attended Western Washington University. I earned my master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling at the University of Kentucky, and later completed my doctoral studies in Counselor Education and Supervision at Oregon State University. I have worked as a counselor in mental health and rehabilitation agencies and have experience serving clients with both physical and psychiatric disabilities. I am a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and a Full Professor in the Department of Counseling and Human Resource Development at South Dakota State University. My special interest is psychiatric disability, particularly personality disorders.
