CHEM-612-S01D      Thermodynamics

Course Description:
This course will focus on the relationship between
energy, entropy, and the progress of chemical
reactions, calorimetry, reaction enthalpy,
standard enthalpy, entropy, and free energy. An
emphasis will be made on the mathematical
techniques used to calculate these relationships
and on how these concepts explain chemical
behavior. Student participation in discussions
will lead to enhanced pedagogical skills for the
secondary science teacher.
