Associate of Arts
Degree in General Studies
An Associate of Arts (A.A.) Degree
in General Studies is available statewide, with all six South Dakota
state universities collaboratively offering the program.
Why consider an Associate of Arts
Degree in General Studies?
An A.A. Degree is known as a
transfer degree and will easily feed into a four-year program.
An A.A. Degree in General
Studies is a good starting point if you are uncertain about a
major, but are interested in working on a college degree.
An A.A. Degree allows you to
complete a degree while taking coursework that will count toward
a bachelor's degree.
What steps should I take to become
a degree seeking student in the A.A. in General Studies program?
Decide if you want to earn your
A.A. Degree in General Studies from South Dakota State University,

advisor to review program requirements.
3. Register for classes. You can
