Student Privacy Statement Courses that have content material and/or assessments either partially or entirely online require that students have a unique ID and password to access the material. This is to protect student privacy and verify student identity.

Desire2Learn Access You must have your primary email activated and the ability to access this account to setup your D2L password. For SDSU home students your primary email address will be your jacks account. For information on how to activate go here: http://courseinfo.sdstate.edu/studentemail/?Login=Jacks+Email+Activation+Instructions. Your username for D2L will be the same as your WebAdvisor ID. If you do not know your WebAdvisor ID go to https://wa-sdsu.prod.sdbor.edu/WebAdvisor/webadvisor. Select Students and then “What’s My User ID”? Enter the required information and your username will be displayed. For further instructions on using WebAdvisor go to http://distance.sdstate.edu/webadvisorF07.htm. You will receive email notifications for each course using D2L once they have been activated. The email will contain information to proceed with creating your Desire2Learn password. Follow the steps as indicated in this message. Once you have created your password, you will not need to complete these steps again. If you do not receive e-mail notification, follow these steps to create your password: Go to http://d2l.sdbor.edu. Select “What is my password?”. Follow the steps for Reset my password. Once you have completed these steps return to http://d2l.sdbor.edu and login with your User ID and password. For further information regarding the use of D2L self register for SDSU Student D2L 101 through D2L. Once logged in to D2L select Self Registration in the upper right hand corner then select SDSU Student D2L 101.
